Terms of Use

1. About PlayLocal
PlayLocal is operated by Adam Montebello trading as The Cultured Collector and helps adults find, join and host casual local sport games in Australia. PlayLocal provides the technology platform and does not ordinarily organise, supervise, coach, insure or guarantee games created by users.
2. Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account and profile information. Keep your login secure and tell PlayLocal if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Hosting and joining
Hosts must publish accurate details, use lawful and reasonably suitable venues, apply stated requirements fairly and communicate changes. Players must review suitability, communicate cancellations and follow lawful venue rules. Approval is required before a join request is confirmed.
4. Safety
Sport and in-person meetings involve risk. You decide whether participation is appropriate for your health, fitness, skill, equipment and circumstances. Use public meeting places where practical. PlayLocal is not an emergency, medical, transport, venue-management or insurance service.
5. Community conduct
The Community Guidelines form part of these Terms. Harassment, hate, threats, sexual misconduct, fraud, spam, doxxing, impersonation and conduct creating unreasonable safety risk are prohibited.
6. User content
You retain ownership of your content and give PlayLocal a limited licence to host, display and process it to operate, secure and moderate the service. Only submit content you have the right to use.
7. Moderation
PlayLocal may review relevant information, remove content, cancel listings, restrict features, suspend accounts or permanently close accounts where reasonably necessary for safety, integrity, legal compliance or repeated breaches.
8. Account deletion
You may delete your account in the app. Private profile data and user-controlled records are removed, future hosted games are cancelled, and some past game records may remain under “Deleted PlayLocal user” so other participants retain accurate history.
9. Consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
10. Contact and governing law
